HP Slate 7 Widely Available for Only $140
The HP Slate 7 debuted a few months ago at a low price, and this Android tablet is already available for even less.
The list price for this product is $170, but HP’s own webstore has it for $140.
And there are a number of other eStores that are offering it at the same price, including Best Buy and Walmart.
More about the HP Slate 7
The Slate 7 undercuts rivals like the Google Nexus 7 which starts at $200. Not surprisingly, it has a fairly low-end feature set.
This tablet’s 7.0-inch display has a relatively low resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. It includes a 3-megapixel rear camera and a VGA camera on the front for videoconferencing. Under the hood, the Slate 7 has a 1.6GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 processor, with 1GB of RAM, and it runs Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), with 8GB of internal storage. This is expandable with a microSD memory card slot.
There is a 3500mAh battery, as well as support for Beats Audio, an unusual feature on a tablet.
