Update: Woot has listed the 16GB Wi-Fi only model of the HP TouchPad for $379.99. This deal will expire when the item sells out or at the end of the day, 8/5/11.

Update 2: As it was originally reported in this story, Staples will be offering a $100 off coupon. While other publications claim this coupon can be used in addition to HP’s $100 discount on the device, we here at TabletPCReview have contacted Staples for a clarification but have yet to hear back. However, if true, the HP TouchPad could be purchased this weekend at all Staples’ stores for $299 and $399 for the 16GB and 32GB, respectively.

While it was reported earlier this week that the HP TouchPad was receiving an OTA update along with a discount, it looks like the company is cutting the price of the device once more.

HP deal for TouchPadDespite the $50 reduction a few days ago, HP is offering customers another $50 instant rebate on the 16GB and 32GB versions of the TouchPad, which will now cost $399 and $499, respectively. The deal will appear this weekend on HP’s website and continue until August 7.

However, if you are looking for an even better deal for this Web OS tablet, Staples is currently offering an instant discount of $50 on both devices, in addition to the in-store-only $100 off coupon. This deal will end on August 7.

The TouchPad had a difficult start in the tabletsphere, with users complaining of bugs and performance issues. Yet HP claims to have addressed most of the problems with the OTA 3.0.2 update, which they released this week.
