A recent report leaked the first, and quite possibly only, images of the recently axed 7-inch TouchPad Go.
The compact tablet was supposedly a few weeks away from shipping when HP discontinued its bigger brethren and all webOS hardware. The images show a slate that appears to be identical to the details in the tablet’s FCC filing.
The pictured TouchPad Go features a 1.5GHz processor, which is a noticeable upgrade from the TouchPad’s 1.2GHz processor. The device in the images comes 16GB of built-in storage, in addition to sporting front and rear-facing cameras. It also appears the compact device would have supported NFC, evident in the apparent NFC module. The 7-inch screen would have also offered the same 1024 x 768 resolution of the 10-inch TouchPad, according to the report.
Yet, this tablet will never be more than a leaked image. Perhaps after HP releases a batch of 200,000 more TouchPads, the company will decide to release the excess slates at an extremely discounted price as well.
