Let the HP TouchPad fire sale begin!

Days after announcing it had killed the TouchPad, HP and its retail partners have slashed the price of the device to $100 for the 16GB unit and $150 for the 32GB unit. So far, the price is reflected on HP’s online retail outlet, though as of Saturday morning, the original discounted prices (after the original $100 discount) remained on Amazon. Best Buy is listing the TouchPad as “sold out online.”

What about the disgruntled few who purchased the TouchPad for full price at launch? For those customers, Best Buy has extended the standard 14 day return window to 60 days, giving buyers who purchased the TouchPad on launch day at least a week as of the time of this report to get their money back.

So what do you think, is $100 a good price for the tablet? Are you now tempted to buy an HP TouchPad?
