HP TouchSmart tm2 Getting Faster Processors

HP is going to release updated versions of its TouchSmart tm2 with Intel’s latest processors. The faster versions of this consumer-oriented Tablet PC will hit the market in the second half of this month.

Currently, this computer runs Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium on an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, but the new versions will feature Intel’s latest Core i3 and i5 processors.

HP TouchSmart tm2The updated versions of the tn2 will go on sale in about two weeks. It’s not clear yet how this change will affect the price.

An Overview of the HP TouchSmart tm2
The TouchSmart tm2 is a convertible Tablet PC featuring multitouch technology aimed at a consumer audience. It can be used as a traditional laptop with keyboard highlighted by a touch-enabled display, or as a tablet, using either a digital pen or multiple finger gestures.

This computer features a 12.1-inch, XVGA (1280 x 800) display and a six-cell battery offering up to eight hours of power.

A range of touch applications come preloaded, including photo-editing software, tools for organizing and managing media, and a touch-enabled Netflix app.

The tm2 weighs 4.7 pounds and is just over an inch thick.
