An internal leak from a Sprint website might just have accidentally announced to the world the launch date of the HTC EVO View 4G (read: 4G Flyer). If it’s correct, the 7-inch Android tablet would arrive before the end of June.
June 24, to be exact. This date happens to perfectly coincide with the rumored release date of the HTC EVO 3D, a new smartphone also coming to Sprint, and the View 4G’s CTIA launch partner. TabletPCReview’s sister site Brighthand has full coverage on the possible EVO 3D launch.
When the EVO View 4G debuted at CTIA, it was almost immediately evident that the tablet was just a rebranded HTC Flyer with 4G capabilities. Exactly like the Flyer, the View 4G features extensive pen support, runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), features a 1024 x 600 7-inch display, is powered by a 1.5GHz processor, and the list goes on and on. The Flyer and View 4G are really one in the same.
We’ve spent the last 13 days with the Flyer and will have a full review of the petite pen-tablet for you all before the end of this week. Once Sprint confirms the launch date above for the View 4G, we’ll let you know that, too.
