HTC Puccini Could Arrive This June

While it still lacks an official name (assuming it will not go to market as the “Puccini”), HTC’s rumored 10-inch Honeycomb tablet has been thoroughly (albeit unofficially) detailed, with the latest rumor predicting a release date for the device.

HTC LogoThe DigiTimes writes: “HTC has entered the final stages of testing for its 10.1-inch Puccini tablet PCs, with volume production slated for June 2011.” DigiTimes predictions, sources, and pretty much all of its editorializing should be taken with a grain of salt, but there have been instances when the Taiwanese news outlet has been on (or at least close to) the mark.

Other details of the Puccini that have snuck out include: a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor (same as the Flyer), a 10-inch screen with 1280 x 800 resolution, 4G capabilities on AT&T’s LTE network, and the latest version of Honeycomb, Android 3.01.

June is only days away, so if the DigiTimes’ sources are correct about the timing of the Puccini’s mass production, an official announcement should be just around the bend.
