Huawei MediaPad 7 LiteHuawei is taking another stab at the tablet market, this time with the newly-announced MediaPad 7 Lite, a 7-inch tablet from the Chinese company.

Details on the device are still scarce, but according to the product information page, it will have 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, 1080p HD movie playback, a display with a wide viewing angle (so possibly IPS) and a 1280 x 800 resolution, and a lightweight silver aluminum alloy unibody design.

Unfortunately, the MediaPad 7 will run Android 4.0 ICS out of the box, so for those who were hoping for another tablet besides the Nexus 7 that runs OS 4.1 Jelly Bean, you’re out of luck.

And that’s about all of the information that Huawei is giving up for the time being, so exact pricing and availability details are currently unknown, though the MediaPad 7 is supposedly slated for a Q4 release.

In the meantime, stay tuned to TabletPCReview and we’ll post more details about the device as they become available.
