Amazon Kindle AppAmazon has recently brought a new version of its Kindle app for iOS to the iTunes App store, and with it comes a slew of new features.

Perhaps the most significant addition to the Kindle app is its new support for the full-color magazines and newspapers that are also offered on the Kindle Fire tablet. The same options for the periodicals are also available, allowing users to purchase either individual issues or full subscriptions.

Users who update will be happy to find that textbooks are now available on the Kindle app as well, with full support for annotation, zoom, and pan functionalities. Other features include “improved organization” in the library UI and PDF support, allowing PDF links from your email and Safari to be viewed through the app.

And the good news is that the new and improved Kindle app isn’t just available for the iPad; you can also pick it up for your iPhone or iPod Touch, with users’ Send-to-Kindle email addresses now automatically syncing to those devices, too.
