Lenovo has unveiled the Tab S8 Android tablet, the first slate from this company to run an Intel processor. It’s one of an increasing number of devices running Google’s mobile operating system that use Intel chips.
The TAB S8 is being built around the 64-bit Intel Z3745 processor with Intel Burst Performance Technology. It will come equipped with 2GB on RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The device will have an 8-inch display with 1920×1200 resolution, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera.
Android 4.4 KitKat will be installed out of the box, and shoppers will have the option of purchasing a WiFi-only model or a 4G LTE version.
The Lenovo Tab S8 will be available before the end of this month for a starting price of $199.
