LG G Pad 8.3 Takes a Step Closer to Launching in the U.S.

The LG G Pad 8.3 mid-size Android tablet, which was unveiled early last month, has launched in Korea. A U.S. release is expected soon.

LG G Pad 8.3When this device was announced at IFA, LG said it will be introduced in North America, Europe and Asia in Q4. Now that it’s available in this company’s home country, the global roll-out can begin.

LG G Pad 8.3 Overview

Given its name, it’s no surprise that the tablet has an 8.3-inch screen. This has a 1920 x 1200 resolution, giving the display a pixel density of 273 ppi.

It runs Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) on a 1.7 GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, with 2GB of RAM. The tablet ships with 16GB of internal storage, and a microSD memory card slot can add 64GB more.

LG’s latest includes a 5.0MP rear camera and a 1.3MP one, as well as a 4600mAh battery.

The U.S. price for the G Pad 8.3 has not yet been announced.
