A device that recently cleared the FCC is fueling rumors Verizon is set to launch its own LTE-variant of the LG G Pad 8.3.
An LG tablet with model name VK810 cleared the FCC on Thursday and includes support for Verizon’s 4G service, running bands 4 and 13. Physical dimensions of the casing also match the G Pad 8.3 at 8.5 x 4.9-inches and a 9-inch diagonal.
The VK810 supports GPS, Bluetooth LE, and Wi-Fi a/b/g/n connectivity. The FCC filing does not include any other hardware specs.
Even if Verizon isn’t planning on introducing an exact copy of the G Pad 8.3 with 4G LTE, the telecom certainly appears to be prepping a device that will be very similar.
