Fans of the LG G Pad Android tablet have three new models to choose from.
The LG G Pad 8.3 saw moderate success after its release late last year, leading the company to produce more tablets in a range of sizes: 7 inches, 8 inches, and 10.1 inches.
“We designed the G Pad Series for a diverse target audience, some who prioritize portability while others want the best multimedia experience possible,” said Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Mobile, in a press release.
The new LG G Pad tablets include software intended to differentiate them from other Android devices. One example is Knock Code, which can power on and unlock a device when the user enters a personalized knockpattern on the display. The devices will also have an updated version of QPair, which lets a user connect the tablet to an Android phone over Bluetooth to receive notifications of incoming calls and messages and respond to them.
Full details about the LG G Pad 7.0, 8.0 and 10.1, including specifications and regional availability, are coming in the weeks ahead, the company said.
