The previously-rumored LTE iteration of the BlackBerry PlayBook is supposedly a reality, with outlet Canadian Reviewer claiming to have received confirmation of the device this morning at a breakfast before the main keynote at BlackBerry World in Orlando.
Aside from LTE connectivity, the new Playbook will allegedly be powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and will also be near field communications (NFC) ready. Aside from those features, no other details have been released about the device, but according to Canadian Reviewer, the tablet will take on a near-identical appearance to its predecessor.
The keynote has since come and gone, however, with no official announcement of the LTE PlayBook. So even if it is a reality, RIM doesn’t appear ready to talk about it just yet, but we’ll keep you posted if any other news about the LTE PlayBook comes out of BlackBerry World.
