The Surface Pro 3 is expected to use an Intel processsor.

Third of Four for 2014

Microsoft is expected to release the Surface 3 near the end of 2014, with the LTE-equipped Surface 2 and rumored Surface Mini supposedly  to precede the release of the updated Windows Surface tablet. The insider also mentioned that the rumored “Surface notebook” has been put on hold by the company at this time.

The Surface Pro 3 will almost certainly launch at about this same time.

Microsoft has not confirmed the rumors as of yet, but the company has mentioned different aspect ratios and sizes of the Surface tablets, alluding to the possibility of a Surface Mini.
