Is Microsoft on the verge of introducing a smaller, more affordable version of the Surface?

Microsoft Surface Mini Press EventMicrosoft has planned an event on May 20 to discuss its Surface tablet, with a reference to a “small gathering”, which some suggest could foreshadow the release of a smaller version of the company’s flagship tablet.

Mid-size tablets are among the best selling Windows models, generally because they are the most affordable.
