Microsoft has prepared two videos that demonstrate the features of its next-generation Surface tablets. The company has also begun running an advertisement for the two devices.
Surface Pro 2
The promotional video for Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 Pro model emphasizes that it can run popular apps like Photoshop, the device comes with a stylus, and the kickstand has been improved.
The devices’s longer battery life is also mentioned.
The attachable keyboard appears in almost every shot, with only fine print to let buyers know that this is is sold separately — the Touch Cover 2 will be $120, while the Type Cover 2 will be $130.
The Windows RT 8.1 tablet in the Surface line gets its own promo video that again emphasizes the option keyboards, but also brings up that this model comes with a version of Microsoft Office with Outlook, it has a USB 3.0 port, and a two-position kickstand.
New Microsoft Surface Ad
Previous TV advertisements for the Surface line were often criticized for being heavy on dancing and clicking but light on details of the tablets. The one that was created for the second-generation models takes a completely different tack, emphasizing what these devices can be used for.
