This is curious – Motorola Mobility briefly showed off images of the Xoom 2; four phones named the Targa, Pearl, Zaha and Slimline; and a watchphone named the Tracy XL after the iconic comic strip detective on its website, which it appears is in the midst of a redesign. Pocketnow took a handful of screengrabs and posted them as news. Motorola then requested the site remove the images, a request Pocketnow granted, but not before other sites, including Gizmodo, grabbed copies.
Unfortunately, the leak revealed nothing in terms of specs, but earlier rumors indicated Motorola is working on a quad-core tablet for September, possibly sporting an as-of-yet-unreleased NVIDIA Tegra 3 chip.
Of course, current Xoom owners are still waiting for the 4G upgrade promised at CES, originally rumored to happen in May, as well as microSD support for their Honeycomb tablet.
