The DuoSense technology, a pen and projected capacitive multi-touch solution enabled over a single digitizer, is now compatible with Android OS, DuoSense developer N-trig announced today.
Using N-trig’s Digital Pencil in conjunction with DuoSense technology will now allow users to simultaneously use the stylus and their fingers on their Android touchscreen tablets to write, move, and manipulate on-screen content.
Now that N-trig’s hardware and multi-touch software are useable with a major tablet operating system, new types of functionality are introduced, and more pen-enabled applications will ostensibly be developed in the near future, or so N-trig hopes.
“With the addition of Android, we are able to address the different requirements of a rapidly growing market that is looking to expand its media consumption and creative capabilities for pen and multi-touch functionality,” said N-trig CEO Amichai Ben David in a press release.
The N-trig DuoSense solution will be useable on a number of Android tablets due out in 2011.
