New Getac V100 Rugged Tablet PC Unveiled

V100 Rugged TabletGetac Inc. recently unveiled their revamped rugged V100 convertible PC. What’s interesting about the newest version is its Intel Core i7 1.2 GHz processor, which stands to make it “the fastest dual-core processor of any rugged convertible on the market,” the company says. In fact, Getac Inc. claims the 5-pound rugged PC is 47% faster than its previous V100.

Getac Inc. further addressed the issue of glare on the V100’s 10.4-inch swivel 1200 NIT LED display screen with anti-reflective coatings, linear and circular polarizers. It is also glove-friendly multi-touch LCD. Its keyboard is backlit and waterproof with sealed I/O caps. The system runs on Windows 7 but users can downgrade to XP if needed.
