New HP Enterprise Tablet, ElitePad 1000 G2, Hits the Market

The HP ElitePad 1000 G2, a new enterprise-focused tablet, is now available to order .

HP ElitePad 1000 G2The device is available in a large variety of configurations, with prices ranging from $740 to $1,120. The tablet won’t ship until later this month.

The ElitePad 1000 G2 runs Windows 8.1 on a 64-bit Intel Atom processor with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. It has a 1900×1200 display, dual 8- and 2.1-megapixel cameras and optional LTE connectivity. Available configurations include variations on the processor, storage, and connectivity.

This HP enterprise tablet will also be compatible with a plethora of accessories, including an optional docking station, a battery-expanding smart jacket and several adapters. HP is pushing the idea that the ElitePad 1000 can transform into a laptop when users need to do heavier work.
