Gigabyte’s U60 UMPC Officially Available

That is right, the U60 UMPC is finally available and we have pricing information too. Well don’t get your hopes up, as of right now it is only available in Taiwan. DigiTimes reported that it will be released in Taiwan on May 22nd for NT$26,900 or just over $800. Good news though for those of you interested in the U60, apparently it is scheduled to hit the rest of the market in the second half of the year.

New Origami Specs Released for Vista

Microsoft is at it again, working on version 2.0 "Origami" experience for Windows Vista on Ultra-Mobile PCs. The second generation of possible UMPC specifications under consideration calls for ultra-thin PCs that weigh less than 1.5 pounds, incorporate 5-inch or 7-inch displays and are housed in an 18- to 20-mm footprint, executives said.

WaterField Designs Announces Custom Laptop Sleeves for New HP Notebooks

WaterField Designs announced that it has custom-fit laptop SleeveCases available for eleven of the new HP notebooks announced last week and two more will be available in June. There are cases for everything from the ultra-light Tablet PC to the 20-inch entertainment notebook.

The basic SleeveCase price is $39.00 – $41.00. Optional accessories include adding a front flap ($15.00), a suspension shoulder strap and D-rings ($18.00), and the Piggyback pouch ($22.00).
