So it looks as though Fujitsu is thinking aloud with some UMPC design concepts. I still can’t help but think of a Gameboy SP when looking at these. It will be fun to see what designs the OEMs will cut out for the initial rollout of models from the new platform.

Tablet Enhancements for Outlook 3.0 Beta 1 is now available for download from developer Josh Einstein. With outstanding features such as Skype integration, instant Wikipedia lookup and enhanced maps, this tool looks to be a must have for hardcore Outlook users. Keeping in mind that this version is a beta, take a look and/or a crack at the free download here.

Tablet PCs Help Blind Students

The Tennessee School for the Blind is piloting a “Tablet Personal Computer project”. By incorporating Tablet PCs and special software, the TSB is planning to help make legally blind students become more self-sufficient. Here on, we have had a few readers write in to tell us how the Tablet PC has helped make accomodations for handicapped users and those with unique needs. It is wonderful to see how the platform can offer so much more than just “handwriting recognition”. Tho read more about the project in Tennessee go here.
