Lenovo ThinkPad X41 Tablet PC TV Commercial – VERY COOL

Perhaps you’ve caught the Toshiba Satellite R15 commercial. Or you may have seen the Gateway Tablet PC’s featured on Best Buy’s TV spots. Well if you haven’t seen the new commercial for the IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad X41, you’re missing out! Lenovo’s new spot lends itself to the essence of cool as Johnny Cash is to the color black.

Luckily, Rob Bushway was watching “24” and grabbed the new X41 commercial from his Media Center PC. He has posted hi and low-res versions on his site. Check it out here.

OQO Aimed at Vertical Market to Compete with the UMPC

With all the excitement over Microsoft’s Origami Project a.k.a. UMPC a.k.a. “Ultra-Mobile PC” many of the new and exciting small computing devices recently released have been left in the shadows. The newest refresh of the OQO with Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005  is just one of those many devices. Now it appears that the OQO will be aimed at vertical markets rather than towards mainstream consumers. Read more.

Black Holes (the ones in Space) as Computers

President Bush once talked about colonizing the moon, so perhaps the idea of using the radiation from a black hole to power a mega computer isn’t too far out?
