LG Xnote C1 Tablet PC “sexed-up”

LG’s new Tablet PC looks like it is built to please. Well aesthetically speaking, the Xnote C1 looks like it’s all the right attributes. T3 reports that the Xnote C1 is “Finished in super-shiny gloss black, it is a treat for the eyes, but unfortunately it looks like this particular model will only make it to Korean shelves for the time being.”

When we will start to see US customers getting anywhere close to the C1 tablet is at this time unkown. By the looks and specs of the impressive Xnote line, we can only hope it will be a releatively short wait! Read more…

Battery and Component Shortages Bring Notebook Sales Down

Taipei’s computer manufacturing giant Compal, is behind in the production of 100,000 notebook computers. A shortage of batteries, SDRAM and other components are to blame. Compal manufactures computers for Dell and Hewlett Packard. How the component shortage will affect availability of notebooks in the fourth quarter of 2006 is as of yet undetermined. Read more… 

Lenovo Joins the NBA “Courtside” in New Partnership

Lenovo, manufacturer of the coveted ThinkPad X41 Tablet PC has partnered with the National Basketball Association. Plans are in place to deploy the Lenovo ThinkPad, ThinkCentre, Lenovo 3000 notebooks and desktop PC models to streamline information such as player stats and game scores. The information will be used to guage strenghts and weaknesses of teams and specific player combinations. All 30 NBA teams will have access to the new technology “package”. Read more…
