A Laptop Tablet PC for Every Child

While Nicholas Negroponte brings his $100 laptop to the children of the developing world, a little known Israeli firm is aiming to arm every American child with a Tablet PC. The 2002 “No Child Left Behind Act” led to the launch of an initiative here in the U.S. to arm every one of the roughly 50 million pupils currently in the education system with a computer. Microsoft Windows XP Hibernate Issue Fix Released for Download

Microsoft has finally released a fix for an irritating XP Hibernation issue to the public. Previously the only way to get this fix was to call Microsoft Tech support. Anything that saves you from having to make a call to Microsoft tech support is a good thing in my book. So if your Tablet PC occasionally doesn’t hibernate and you get a message something like “Insufficient System Resources Exist to Complete the API” head on over to the Microsoft Tech Support site and download the fix.


TabletKiosk Adds to UMPC Lineup

TabletKiosk has added the eo I7209 and the eo i7210 to its stable of Ultra Mobile PCs. Both units are based on ultra-low voltage Intel chips and run Windows XP Tablet Edition 2005. Check them out here…
