After some speculation to the contrary, Barnes & Noble confirmed that they will not be part of the Microsoft event that is expected to include a new Microsoft Windows tablet.
The staff here at TabletPCReview discussed the possibilities of the new Windows tablet, including one that essentially would be partnered with Barnes & Noble as a way to compete with the Amazon Kindle Fire. After all, Microsoft and Barnes & Noble established an agreement in April that referred to both Windows Phone and a “Microsoft Reader.”
However, both Dow Jones and a Barnes & Noble spokesperson denied these reports saying that Barnes & Noble would not be involved with any Microsoft announcement today.
