For months, there has been speculation about Nokia creating its own tablet. Today, a Nokia official announced that the company is in fact developing a tablet.
In an interview with Finnish magazine, Kauppalehti Optio, Nokia design chief Marko Ahtisaari claimed that the company is working on its first tablet that will allegedly use the Windows 8 OS, which will be released later this year. Despite the comments made by Athisaari, a Nokia spokesman said previously that the company is keeping an eye on the market, but has made no specific announcement.
We reported earlier this week that sources from DigiTimes has said that Nokia will launch a Windows 8 tablet later this year. The tablet is rumored to have a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chipset.
