Nokia is allegedly getting close to introducing its first tablet. Many of the details of this model, code-named “Sirius”, have leaked out.

Nokia Sirius Windows 8.1 RT TabletIt will have a 10.1-inch and 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) display, according to information that was leaked to The Verge. The device will be thinner and lighter than Apple’s current iPad 4.

This tablet will allegedly run Windows RT 8.1 on Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, with 2GB of RAM. There will be 32GB of internal storage and a microSD memory card slot.

A leaked image of the device (at right) shows that at least one version of the Sirius tablet will include support for 4G LTE cellular-wireless networking, and be offered by Verizon.

The unnamed source for this info indicated that Nokia plans to bundle a keyboard with the device.

The Nokia Sirius is supposedly going to be priced similarly to the iPad, which likely means it will be about $500.

It could be unveiled on September 26.
