Stuart Hughes has designed the iPad 2 Gold History Edition that features a casing made out of 2000 grams of solid 24 karat gold, 750 grams of Ammolite stone (over 75 million years old), 16.5 carat diamonds, and an 8.5 carat single diamond. Oh, and 57 grams of ground up Tyrannosaurus Rex bone. Encrusting an iPad with the ground up bones of a T-Rex certainly qualifies the device as a luxury gadget.
If the entry-level iPad 2 was a little too steep for you at $499, then you’re probably unlikely to head over to Stuart Hughes website, where the iPad is for sale for the low, low price of $8 million (or 5 million pounds).
