Panasonic’s Toughbook Tablet PC: Pics From the Fall CTIA

Here are a few shots of the updated Panasonic Toughbook rugged CF-18 Tablet PC we took at the Fall CTIA Wireless show in NYC last week. This unique machine features resistance to “drops, shocks, altitude, vibration, and dust, water and extreme temperature and is encased in magnesium alloy and feature a shock-mounted removable hard-drive in a stainless steel case”.

It is always fun to visit the Panasonic booth at these shows. Although I didn’t make it out to New York with Brian and Andrew for this one, but in the past the Panasonic folks always let me drop their demo models to the floor and stand on them. My 175 lbs. never have caused a problem! These machines are geared towards a very specific consumer, but heck if I could afford and was still in college, I can’t imagine the possibilities!
