PhotoFast is making it easier for Apple users to transfer files onto their iPad or iPhone from their computer with the next-generation i-FlashDrive HD, a USB thumb drive designed specifically for the popular tablet and smartphone.

The latest iteration of PhotoFast’s offering is smaller and lighter than its predecessor, and features two designs, one to fit Apple’s new Lightning port and one to outfit the older 30-pin dock connector. Users can load 38 different file types, including videos, documents, photos and music. With MP3s, JPGs, Word documents, Excel workbooks and MP4s being just some of the files supported, it is surely an improvement from the limited formats that can be read natively by iOS devices

The updated USB drive connects via an improved i-FlashDrive app, allowing users to easily alter documents without an Internet connection or having to sync through iTunes. Users will also be able to enjoy their favorite movies, TV shows and music on an Apple TV-connected television with the i-FlashDrive HD thanks to support for AirPlay, which enables streaming between devices.

The i-FlashDrive HD will sell in three flavors, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, though no pricing or launch date were mentioned at CES, where the accessory is on display..
