Last year, Microsoft promised to introduce a Power Cover for its Surface tablets, and the accessory has finally hit store shelves.
The item retail for $200, and is initially available only in the United States, Canada, and Japan. Orders can be place now on the Microsoft Store.
Microsoft promises the Power Cover improves battery life up to 70%. Similar to the Type Cover, the accessory is also includes a full QWERTY-keyboard with trackpad and will connect to compatible devices magnetically via the “accessory spine.”
The item is 9.75 mm thick and weighs 0.55 pounds, according to Microsoft’s website. The Power Cover is available only in black, and comes with a 1-year limited hardware warranty.
