Last week, Best Buy revealed that it is going to offer its own tablet. Many of the details of the Insignia Flex remain a mystery, but a critical detail may have leaked out: the price.
The national retailer has only given a broad outline of its tablet. In addition to a picture, the company says the device is going to have a 9.7-inch screen. It will run Android 4.0 (ICS) on a dual-core 1GHz processor, and have a ten hour battery life.
Reuters is reporting being told by an unnamed source that the product will be priced somewhere between $240 and $260. That would put it at about half the price of the Apple iPad, and less expensive than many other similarly-sized tablets.
Presumably, Best Buy will revel more details on the Insignia Flex before it hits store shelves on Nov. 11.
