An iPad prototype with two pin inputs sold on eBay for $10,200.
The prototype tablet appeared on eBay over the weekend, and it featured two 30-pin connector inputs; one in landscape and one in portrait mode. Both docks were said to be fully functional and according to sources, these docks were being tested up until the iPad debut in 2010. However, the idea was scrapped most likely due to aesthetics, and all three subsequent iPads feature a single dock on the portrait side.
The original seller went into detail about how Apple usually dismantles prototype devices to prevent them from working. The seller continued by claiming that the prototype has been refurbished. That being said, the tablet includes a sporadic touchscreen and a replacement battery.
