Users looking to pick up a powerful Windows tablet for Christmas are in luck, as Microsoft has announced a sale of the Razer Edge gaming-oriented tablet at its brick-and-mortar stores and online.
The sale price of the tablet is $1,000, down from the original tag of $1,300. For a limited time, buyers can also get a $25 gift card with the purchase. Even better, the Windows Store will update the tablet to Windows 8.1 for free.
The Razer Edge features a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen, Intel-Core i7-3517U processor, 8GB of memory with a 128GB SSD and up to four hours of battery life. Thanks to a series of optional accessories, Razer touts the device as a tablet, PC, and console all in one. The tablet features NVIDIA GeForce graphics with Optimus technology, designed to run even the most advanced PC games.
