Budget RCA Windows tablets and Android tablets have been available for several years, and new models have been announced at CES 2017. There will be both Android and Windows computers in a range of sizes.
This new lineup includes a 12.2-inch 2-in-1 running Windows 10 on an Intel Pentium Processor. It sports a full-size USB Type-A port, dual cameras, and up to 10 hours of battery life. The MSRP $449.99 includes a detachable keyboard.
UPDATE: We have a hands-on preview of the RCA 12.2″ Windows 2-in-1 from CES.
There’s also a 12.2-inch model running Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It uses a quad-core processor and an HD screen. This RCA-branded computer will have a $249.99 MSRP, and be sold with a Folio case.
The Voyager III 7-inch Android tablet will have an Intel Atom processor, 16GB of on-board storage, dual cameras, and a better IPS HD display than is in last year’s Voyager II. It will launch in February and retail for $49.99, putting it into direct competition with the Amazon Fire.
The Horizon 17 Android All-in-One will be 17.3-inch tablet designed to be used in the living room by the whole family. It will run Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) on a quad core processor, with 2GB RAM and 64GB of built-in storage.
RCA says oversized screen will make it ideal for watching movies or TV shows, and support for separate profiles make it easy for family members to share it. The company promises this model will retail for less than $400, which probably means $399.
