A source claims that Amazon will be launching a front-lit eInk Kindle in July alongside a new Kindle Fire.
The online retailer has recently been increasing production of the new eReader in hopes to have it ready to go by the summer.
The source revealed that Amazon will launch the new front-lit Kindle in a 3G version as well as a Wi-Fi version. The pricing of the device will also be similar to current Kindle prices ranging from $99 to $199 depending on the features, with any increases being very miniscule.
By the end of the year, Amazon hopes to release a new version of the Kindle Fire tablet and a colored eInk eReader that was rumored over the weekend. The next model of the Kindle Fire tablet is expected to have a larger display of 8.9-inches.
Amazon rival Barnes & Noble already have a front-lit eInk eReader on the market with the recently-released NOOK Simple Touch with GlowLight.
