Could Asus be working on another tablet for Eee Pad lineup? A leak from the Hebrew-language site ynet suggests Asus could soon unveil the EP90, an 8.9-inch tablet (1024 by 600 pixels) sporting a dual core 1GHz processor and Nvidia Tegra chipset.
The translation is extremely rough, but it appears the EP90 will run some version of Windows as the article specifically mentions the EP90 “will offer the ability to run office software – Microsoft’s Office suite.” Other specs include a USB port, HDMI input, headphone jack, SD/SDHC card slot, 3G, Bluetooth 2.1 EDR and GPS.
Ynet clocks the battery life at four and a half hours. The EP90 will apparently be available in 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB models, with Asus offering up 500GB of cloud storage.
Last August, Asus announced pricing and release dates for the confirmed Eee Pads: the 12.1-inch Windows 7 EP121, 10-inch Windows device, and the Android Eee Pad. They may start hitting shelves as early as December.
