A day cannot pass without an HP tablet rumor surfacing. This time the fine folks at Engadget have the scoop, claiming that they’ve heard from trusted sources that HP will release a webOS-powered tablet in Q1 2011.

This information comes from a major HP employee meeting (presumably to discuss the ouster of CEO Mark Hurd) in which HP VP Todd Bradley mentioned the company’s tablet plans. According to the report, the HP webOS tablet is referred to as “Hurricane” in the halls and offices of HP.

This latest information comes after weeks of rumor leaks from Hewlett Packard, including the recent Android-powered Zeen, HP Windows 7 tablet PCs for business, and the PalmPad trademark filing.
