Samsung has already officially confirmed that the Galaxy Note 8.0 is going to be unveiled later this month, but the details of this tablet remain under wraps… mostly. Images and details of it keep leaking out.
This device matches some spy shots of this tablet that surfaced last month, and the S Pen is prominent in the picture.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 Preview
The Galaxy Note 10.1 has sold well, and Samsung has therefore decided to offer a smaller version. According to spec lists that have leaked out ahead of the official announcement, this will have an 8-inch touchscreen with a 1280 x 800 resolution.
It reportedly will run Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) on a 1.6GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. There will be versions with either 16GB or 32GB storage, plus a microSD slot.
The Note 8.0 is allegedly going to have a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing one. On the inside will be a 4600mAh battery.
Its wireless features will include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and A-GPS, while some versions will have cellular-wireless connectivity.
Like every device in the Note series, this tablet is going to come with a Wacom pressure-sensitive stylus called the S Pen, as well as a suite of software for drawing and taking hand-written notes.
The official annoucement of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is scheduled for MWC in Barcelona, which kicks off in a few weeks.
