It appears that one of Samsung‘s next tablets have taken an important step toward release: the Federal COmmunications Commission (FCC) has approved a device that is probably the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.5.
The U.S. government agency has given Samsung permission to release the “SM-T805”. An accompanying diagram shows what’s clearly a full-size tablet (see image at right), but most of the details are hidden behind a request for confidentiality.
It’s possible this will be the Galaxy Tab 4 with an AMOLED display that has been the subject of numerous rumors recently. If so, then the Android-based device will have a 10.5-inch screen with a 2560×1600 resolution.
One of Many
This will apparently be just one of a range of tablets Samsung is prepping for release soon. Unconfirmed reports indicate that the Korean company is also putting the finishing touches on 7-, 8-, and 10.1-inch versions of the Galaxy Tab 4.
They aren’t expected to have AMOLED displays, and will cost less than the Galaxy Tab Pro models that recently launched.
