Samsung has just announced the availability of its upcoming Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, with pre-orders beginning Oct. 23.
The latest addition to Sammy’s Galaxy Tab lineup, the 7.0 Plus will retail for $399.99. While pre-orders start Sunday, the device will be available from a number of retailers, including Best Buy, Amazon and Fry’s, on Nov. 13.
Powered by Android 3.2 Honeycomb, the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus will sport a 7-inch 1024 x 600 display. The tablet will come packed with 16GB of storage and will be powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor. Featuring a 3MP rear-camera and a 2MP shooter for video chats, the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus will come with 1GB of RAM and support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G/HSPA. Additionally, users will be able to use the device as a remote control for their home theater and TV systems, as it comes equipped with built-in infrared capabilities.
Samsung unveiled the device at the end of September, promising the device would be released after it launched in Indonesia and October at the end of October. The device’s specs are slightly less impressive than its cousin, the Galaxy Tab 7.7, which will feature a Super AMOLED display and a 1.4GHz dual-core processor. Samsung officially revealed that device at this year’s IFA trade show.
