Samsung has been mighty quiet about its upcoming Galaxy Tab 8.9 Honeycomb tablet. In fact, we’ve not heard a peep from Sammy about the ultra-slim tablet since its unveiling in CTIA last spring.
That may soon change, however, as the Galaxy Tab 8.9 is now appearing on BestBuy.com for preorder. The electronics outlet is offering the 16GB metallic gray unit for $469.99, which aligns with pricing previously revealed by Samsung. Samsung also announced a 32GB version for $569, which is nowhere to be found on the site. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 does not appear in Best Buy’s search results, though is accessible through the URL.
In a recent conversation with TabletPCReview, Samsung reps confirmed that the Galaxy Tab 8.9 is shipping soon to the US.
The Galaxy Tab 8.9 will join the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and original seven-inch Galaxy Tab on store shelves. It will sport an 8.9-inch, 1280 x 800 touchscreen, and a 1 GHz dual-core processor.
