Samsung Galaxy Tab A NOOK from Barnes & Noble Debuts at $99.99 for Previous Customers
Barnes & Noble today expanded its NOOK lineup with an additional 7-inch model. This is a version of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab A from last year bundled with this book seller’s ebook software.
Those who trade in any previous NOOK device, or just show proof of purchase of one at any Barnes & Noble store, can get this new model for $99.99. It’s available in the retailer’s stores or online at BN.com for everyone else with a pricetag of $139.99.

This tablet’s 7-inch display has a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, giving it a pixel density of 216 ppi. It has 8GB on-board memory, and up to 200GB more can be added with an optional microSD card. There’s a built-in FM radio, as well as 2-megapixel front-facing camera and GPS.
The Galaxy Tab A NOOK runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, and has access to the Google Play store so that it can run software designed for any Android tablet or phone.
Barnes & Noble pre-installs the latest version of the NOOK bookstore app, giving access over 4 million titales including bestsellers, new releases, classics and enhanced titles with special content, including more than 1 million priced under $5. Also included are nearly 80,000 digital audiobooks, including 9,500 free titles, and an extensive collection of popular comic books and graphic novels, as well as art, photography, travel guides and cookbook titles.
