A leaked internal T-Mobile slide reveals the Samsung Galaxy Tab will cost $399 with a two-year agreement on the T-Mobile network and after a $50 mail-in rebate, TMoNews reports. Those looking to pay retail for the device will have to shell out $650.
This news aligns with rumors that surfaced last week concerning the Galaxy Tab on the Sprint network, rumors that indicated a similar price point.
The leak adds to the speculation that the Samsung Galaxy Tab will be more expensive than originally estimated. Early assumptions had the Galaxy Tab hovering around a $200 or $300 price point with a carrier contract. The lower price would no doubt make the Android tablet very appealing when compared with the iPad, which runs $499 for its 16GB WiFi device.
Also leaked was a slide sizing up the Galaxy Tab to the iPad, with a strong focus on the Galaxy Tab’s Flash and video conferencing capabilities.
