It looks like Samsung is building a Galaxy Tab for every size as its own Android IFA teaser app has revealed plans for a 7.7-inch tablet. Tucked within the Samsung Mobile Unpacked APK are three logos indicating the company plans to announce the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, Samsung Wave 3, and Samsung Galaxy Note. Given Samsung’s tablet naming convention, it’s safe to assume that the Galaxy Tab 7.7 will be a tablet.
The Galaxy Tab 7.7 will join the original 7-inch Galaxy Tab, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 Honeycomb tablet, and the upcoming Galaxy Tab 8.9. Rumors also indicate that Samsung is working on a 5.3-inch hybrid smartphone/tablet Galaxy device and that its business unit is busy readying a Windows slate for the show.
There is no indication as to what the Galaxy Note is, but speculation suggests a note taking device supported by an active pen, perhaps similar to the ASUS Eee Note released in Taiwan last year that never made it Stateside.
The Samsung Wave 3 is likely a smartphone running Samsung’s Bada operating system.
TabletPCReview will be joining our sister site, Brighthand, in Berlin for IFA, an event considered Europe’s answer to CES.
