In an invitation to the Samsung Developer Day at the Mobile World Conference in Barcelona, Samsung may have revealed the name of an unannounced tablet: the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.
Little has been said about this device, but what’s certain is the use of Samsung’s Wacom-like stylus, the S Pen. The company has been advertising the Galaxy Note smartphone with heavy emphasis on the S Pen, and it seems as if they will be doing the same for the Galaxy Note 10.1.
Samsung reps have stated in the past that they would like to bring the S Pen to other Samsung devices. Ryan Bidan, Samsung’s product marketing manager, believes that the stylus would “make a lot of sense across a number of screen sizes.”
The Verge, which broke the story, also dug up a casting call ad for a student to audition for the role of a Galaxy Note 10.1 user, presumably for a Samsung commercial. The actor was asked to use the device to “record, take pictures, and edit.” The listing called for an early February shoot which would make the idea of the Galaxy Note 10.1 unveiled at MWC a great possibility.
Also included in the invitation are the Galaxy Note, the Wave 3, and the Wave Y Bada smartphones.
