SF Giants Fan Goes “High Tech” in Kayak Customized with Tablet PC (pics)

First we had a surfboard with a Tablet PC built-in. Next we had a Fender Stratocaster guitar – tablet enlayed in the back. Now it appears we have a kayak complete with Tablet PC mounted and protected in a waterproof case. Why would someone go to these great lengths? This time its BASEBALL!

San Francisco Giants fans are well aware of the kayaking fans who sail through McCovey cove. The AT&T Park (home of the SF Giants) backs up to this coveted section of the bay. One “kayaking catcher”, Larry Ellison who is known as the champ of the bay has caught two balls blasted into the bay by Barry Bonds. That would be homerun balls #660 and #661! The latter which Ellison sold to purchase his new Tablet PC equipped, high-tech Kayak.

Ellisons plan to catch the inevitable Babe Ruth record smashing homerun ball is now in place. Ellison is now able to jut around the bay behind the park and watch a streaming feed of the live ballgame on his Tablet PC mounted on the kayak. To perfect his rig, he even encased his Tablet PC with a waterproof case. This should all work out fine provided there are no leaks (that is in the boat OR the case!)
