Small businesses are embracing tablets, and the Apple iPad in particular. IDC is predicting that companies with less than 100 employees will have 10.4 million tablets by the end of this year.
That’s growth of 114% versus the number of tablets in use by companies of this size at the end of last year.
The device of choice by small and medium-size businesses is the iPad, with Apple making 92.6% of the tablets in-use by companies in this range. The second most popular device is the BlackBerry Playbook, with 5.3% of the market, followed by Android at 2.3% and Microsoft Surface at 2.1%
All of this is summed up in an infographic released by Intuit.
